Symphony in 60

Mozart’s Jupiter

Sat Mar 18, 2023

Orchestra Hall

60 min, no intermission

Symphony in 60 is a one-hour concert—highlighting popular symphonic works paired with music new to Orchestra Hall. These concerts include a post-concert onstage reception with musicians, an earlier 6pm start time, and make a great introduction for newer Minnesota Orchestra audiences.

A Few Things to Know

  1. Did you know Mozart didn't give his final symphony the nickname "Jupiter?" Read our blog post "Five Things to Know About Mozart's Jupiter."
  2. Jesse Montgomery's Strum opens the program. Written for string orchestra, the piece draws on American folk idioms and the spirit of dance and movement.
  3. Come early for a $5 happy hour and spirits tasting, courtesy of DuNord Social Spirits and stay late for an onstage reception with musicians.
