Sun salutations meet live music in our Yoga Class at Orchestra Hall series! Join a local instructor to practice yoga in the serenity of the Orchestra Hall lobby while an individual musician or duo from the Minnesota Orchestra plays musical selections that inspire and center body and soul.
Things To Know
- This class is open to all ages 15 and up. Please bring your own mat and water bottle, as well as any props (towels, blocks, etc.) you would like to use for the class.
- Instructor Holly Slocum grew up in a strong dance tradition and came to yoga 20 years ago. She is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher whose powerful classes combine insightful meditations, creative sequencing and a spirit of playfulness to help deepen one’s practice.
Holly Slocum grew up in a strong dance tradition and came to yoga 20 years ago. She is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher whose powerful classes combine insightful meditations, creative sequencing and a spirit of playfulness to help deepen one’s practice. She guides students at their own pace to become aware of and remove obstacles in their bodies so that they are able to more comfortably move through their lives. She is deeply grateful for the loving wisdom shared by her fellow teachers and yogis.
Te-Chiang (Bacco) Liu has been a soloist with various orchestras in Taiwan, Australia and United States, and he has also been invited to perform internationally in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, and U.S. He has served as concertmaster of the National Defense Symphony Orchestra, where he performed several state banquets for the President of Taiwan, and he currently performs as regular extra musician with the Minnesota Orchestra, and the Concertmaster with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra.
