Film Concerts Live! in association with Sony Pictures Classics is proud to present one of the most ground-breaking and influential films of all time, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, nominated for ten Academy Awards® and featuring renowned composer Tan Dun’s musical score performed live and in sync to an HD presentation of director Ang Lee’s cinematic masterpiece. 

A Few Things to Know

  1.   2. Following her celebrated performances during the Minnesota Orchestra’s 2022 Lunar New Year program, Minnesota-based pipa player Gao Hong will return to the Orchestra Hall stage in these concerts, taking center stage alongside Principal Cello Anthony Ross.
  3. "I have always admired Tan Dun and have had the honor of working with him and playing his music on many occasions," says Gao Hong about the composer of the inventive soundtrack.
