Principal Harp, Bertha Boynton Bean Chair
Katherine Siochi is an internationally award-winning harp soloist and principal harp of the Minnesota Orchestra since December 2022. She previously served as principal harp of the Kansas City Symphony from 2019-2022 and was principal harp of the Sarasota Orchestra from 2017-2019.
Siochi is the 2016 gold medalist of the USA International Harp Competition, one of the world's most prestigious harp contests. She has given solo concerts in Hong Kong, China, Israel, and at Lyon & Healy Hall in Chicago. In 2021 she released her debut solo album Nocturne on Lyon & Healy Records, which includes several of her own piano transcriptions. Audiences worldwide have commended Siochi not only for her virtuosity, but especially for her poetic interpretations, sensitive musicianship and innate sense of timing.
Yoga instructor Nancee Nystrom holds a 500 E-RYT with Yoga Alliance and has completed over 1,000 hours of yoga teacher trainings. She serves on the board of the yoga non-profit Onelove.yoga and curates unique retreat experiences for busy adults to take an intentional pause in life for a weekend of self-reflection. Nystrom has developed her teaching skills by studying with a variety teachers and thousands of students over the last 11 years. She views her yoga practice as an essential part of her life and the propelling force of her personal growth. Her ambition is to inspire others to begin their practice exactly where they are today and open up to the possibility of healing their lives through yoga. She maintains a daily personal practice on and off the mat, and she is also a trained teacher in Yoga of 12 Step Recovery (Y12SR), as well as a Reiki Master facilitating healing towards all beings.
