Give your holiday season a big, brassy boost as Minnesota Orchestra trumpeter Charles Lazarus and some very special guests swing their way through your favorite holiday tunes. Lazarus’ all-star band features Grammy Award-winners, former Prince collaborators and many world-renowned performers, all lending a bright, fresh take on the most beloved classics.

The Minnesota Orchestra does not perform on this program.

A Few Things To Know

  1. A well-rounded education: While attending high school at North Carolina School for the Arts and the Julliard School for college, Charles Lazarus "took lessons with as many different teachers as possible and often with teachers of different instruments."
  2. In 2021 and 2022, Lazarus joined community members and musicians in performances to support Circle Rock Concerts for Community, a series of community concerts benefitting mental health awareness, and serves as the organization's music director.

The Minnesota Chorale Holiday Heralds

When: Sun Dec 11 | 1:15-1:45pm

The Minnesota Chorale, Minnesota's preeminent symphonic chorus, has served as the Minnesota Orchestra’s principal chorus since 2004. The Holiday Heralds are Minnesota Chorale singers who perform during the holidays, bringing joyful seasonal music to audiences in community settings throughout the Twin Cities.

Bedding Drive for Simpson Housing Services

When: Through Dec 19, 2022
Where: Roberta Mann Grand Foyer

As Simpson Housing rebuilds its shelter, their emergency housing services for people experiencing homelessness will move to an interim site. During December, we're holding a bedding drive with the goal of collecting 70 NEW twin XL sheet sets and fleece or cotton blankets - enough to outfit all beds at the interim location and provide warmth and dignity to residents.
Look for the collection box in the Roberta Mann Grand Foyer through December 19.
