Celebrating Jorja Fleezanis

All are welcome to attend this chamber music tribute to Jorja Fleezanis, the late concertmaster of the Minnesota Orchestra, who died unexpectedly of natural causes on September 9, 2022. Through music and personal tributes, Jorja’s friends, family and colleagues will celebrate her extraordinary life and legacy. Guests are encouraged to wear bright colors in honor of Jorja. A reception will follow in the Orchestra Hall lobby.

The tribute features music by Bach, Brahms, Chopin, Daugherty and Massenet, as well as poetry by Cavafy, with performers including current and retired Minnesota Orchestra musicians Erin Keefe, Anthony Ross, Sam Bergman, Alan Snow and Basil Reeve; pianists Garrick Ohlsson, Lydia Artymiw and Mary Jo Gothmann; and actor Stephen Yoakam.
