Join us for a yoga flow with live music curated and played by Minnesota Orchestra violinist Sarah Grimes and cellist Esther Seitz. Instructor Courtney Perry from Life Time Crosstown will facilitate this experience in the Orchestra Hall lobby for beginners and experienced yogis alike!
A Few Things to Know
- This class is open to all ages 15 and up. Please bring your own mat and water bottle, as well as any props (towels, blocks, etc.) you would like to use for the class.
- Attendees will receive free gifts as part of their experience: complimentary blender bottles supplied by Garden of Life, liquid herbal tinctures supplied by WishGarden and raw, living and nutrient-dense organic concentrates (daily liquid supplements) supplied by Moringa Vinga.
- Mats will be spaced 2' apart for physical distancing.
Artists
Violinist Sarah Grimes joined the Minnesota Orchestra in 2016, where she is a member of the first violin section. Before her appointment in the Minnesota Orchestra, she performed as a full-time guest musician with the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra from 2015-16, and as a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago in 2014.
Raised in the Twin Cities, Grimes began studying the violin at the age of four. She received a bachelor of music degree from the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University, where she was concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra, and worked as a freelance musician in the greater Chicago area.
Courtney Perry completed a 200-hr Registered Yoga Teacher training at Life Time Fitness in 2013 and has been teaching twice a week at LT Crosstown since 2014. Most recently she has integrated yoga into her teaching of the enneagram, a modern personality-mapping system based in ancient spirituality. You can find her @Yenneagram on Instagram and Twitter.
