Music for All: Orchestra Offers for a Young Person's Budget

There are many ways for young audience members to enjoy the Minnesota Orchestra on a budget, but we sometimes find that these folks are unaware the special programs exist for them! We’re working to make live orchestral music as accessible to as many would-be concertgoers as possible through the work we do with groups, community partners, giveaways and more–and our offers are just one way we’re expanding that access. Here are a few ways a trip to the Orchestra can fit into a young person’s budget:

  1. Hall Pass. This program, which is sponsored by generous donors, allows young listeners to attend concerts for free. Students ages 6 to 18—when accompanied by an adult for those ages 6 to 15—can attend select classical and Symphony in 60 concerts, and can attend all Family and Sensory-Friendly Concerts for free. Learn more about Hall Pass here.
  2. Student subscriptions. Just like a regular create-your-own subscription, student subscriptions are a build-your-own package of three or more eligible concerts. They are the perfect deal for college students at just $12 per ticket for each package. Learn more about student subscriptions here.
  3. Student rush. Student rush is available for anyone with a valid student ID. Looking for last-minute plans? Secure $12 tickets online before an eligible concert and pick up your tickets at the box office by showing your student ID.
  4. $20under40. For younger concertgoers who are out of school, there’s $20under40, which means ticket buyers under 40 years old attend select concerts for just $20! See eligible $20under40 concerts and learn how to take advantage of the offer here.
  5. Membership. Music lovers of all ages can take advantage of a Minnesota Orchestra Membership! With a Minnesota Orchestra Membership, you get unlimited access to classical concerts for just $40/month. See more about our Membership here.

In addition to all of these, we offer discounts for educators, group rates, public rush tickets and more. Learn more about all that the Minnesota Orchestra offers here–we hope to see you at Orchestra Hall soon.
