Sharing Support and Unity with Ukrainians Everywhere
As the ongoing crisis unfolds after the invasion of Ukraine by Russian forces on February 24, the reaction across the world has ranged from sorrow and fear to outrage and admiration for the spirit of the Ukrainian people. It is painful to watch as innocent people face danger in their homeland, and the right words are impossible to find.
The Minnesota Orchestra joins in sending wishes for solace, strength and unity to the people of Ukraine: those defending their country at home, those who have been forced to flee, those thinking of their loved ones from afar here in Minnesota, and those spread across the world. We send support in musical form, the Adagietto from Mahler's Symphony No. 5, to them and to the oppressed everywhere.
