Celebrated pianist Stephen Hough, in collaboration with Music Director Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra, offers a complete survey of Tchaikovsky's music for piano and orchestra in this revelatory two-disc set. Recorded live at Orchestra Hall in 2009, the recordings feature the Russian composer's famous First Concerto, as well as his lesser-known Concert Fantasia and the Second and Third Concertos—including alternative versions of the slow movement of the Second Concerto and two solo piano encores.

Released on the Hyperion label, the Tchaikovsky recordings mark the landmark 50th volume in the label's acclaimed "Romantic Piano Concertos" series, a collection of 131 works for piano and orchestra that feature some of the greatest pianists, orchestras and conductors in the world.
