Symphony No. 4, Romantic (1888 version)
The Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major has been considered one of Anton Bruckner's most popular works ever since its first performance, in Vienna in 1881, when the composer was reportedly called out to take a bow after each movement. Music Director Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra now add their interpretation of the work, recorded at Orchestra Hall in January 2009, to their celebrated catalogue on the BIS label.
