Eric Sjostrom

Associate Principal Librarian

Eric Sjostrom joined the Minnesota Orchestra in February 1978. He is a graduate of The Curtis Institute of Music (Bassoon, 1976), where he studied with Sol Schoenbach. Following early bassoon studies in the Philadelphia Public Schools with Shirley Curtiss, he studied music theory and woodwind ensembles (also with Shirley Curtiss) at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia. Sjostrom served as library assistant with the Philadelphia Orchestra from September 1970 until assuming his current position with the Minnesota Orchestra.
