Meet Justice Alan C. Page
"Whatever you do, do it well:" Alan C. Page’s parents instilled that lesson in their son. It could certainly be said that a young Page took that message and ran with it: after 15 seasons in the National Football League, he would become an associate justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court and, alongside his late wife Diane, establish the Page Education Foundation, which helps Minnesotan students of color reach their education goals. In the Orchestra’s inaugural Juneteenth concerts, he will perform the narrator role in Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, bringing to life excerpts from Abraham Lincoln’s letters and speeches. Before the concerts, Justice Page took a moment to reflect on his astonishing journey and lifelong pursuit of justice—and quarterbacks.
Join us for the in-person concert Friday, June 23, watch live as part of This Is Minnesota Orchestra or watch on-demand anytime via our digital concert hall.
