Symphony Ball

River Rhapsody

Magnificent Music on the Mississippi

Sat May 4, 2024

Orchestra Hall

Join us on May 4, 2024 to support the Orchestra’s artistic and educational missions as we revel in the traditions—from music to food—that the River inspires.

Then, experience an exquisite river-themed concert of glorious orchestral classics performed by the Minnesota Orchestra, conducted by new Music Director Thomas Søndergård.

Cap off the night at our festive after-party at Orchestra Hall with desserts, savory bites and signature cocktails. And, if that weren't enough, dance the night away with a set list curated by Twin Cities’ Jack Brass Band. It's a river soiree! Dance, indulge and wonder — in the rush of it all.

A Few Things to Know

  1. The Symphony Ball is the Minnesota Orchestra’s largest fundraising event of the year, attracting nearly 1,000 guests and raising critical funds to support artistic and educational initiatives. With tickets starting at $99, you will be supporting the Minnesota Orchestra’s impact in our community.

  2. Whether you spend an entire evening with a delicious plated dinner, auction and concert, or come to revel in the music and a late-night party, you will be sure to have a night to remember.

  3. Based on the traditions of New Orleans' brass bands, Jack Brass Band plays everything from old New Orleans jazz from Louis Armstrong’s era to the modern street Mardi-Gras anthems. “If you like your gumbo spicy and your music hot, check out the Jack Brass Band,” said Wynton Marsalis after hearing them.
