Lakes Area Music Festival

The Lakes Area Music Festival is Minnesota's summer home for world-class orchestra, opera, and chamber music. The 18th annual season, held July 31 through August 23, 2026, will feature more than 200 professional musicians from the nation's top orchestras and opera companies.

This season, PASSION takes center stage at the Lakes Area Music Festival. From the thrilling spark of an opening gala with internationally acclaimed dancers to the moonlit intimacy of Schoenberg’s Transfigured Night and the raw emotion of Stravinsky’s Petrushka, each program invites us to feel more deeply. With the powerful drama of Bizet’s Carmen, LAMF’s 18th season brings world-class artists and unforgettable summer moments to the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts.
