Modern Music Luminaries
Concerts that include unique voices of modern composers
Every note that sounds from the stage is meaningful and important. And with each performance, we strive to expand the meaning of orchestral music by bringing new ideas and unique voices to our stage. In this season alone we add nearly four dozen works to the Minnesota Orchestra’s repertoire through our Classical, Chamber Music and Young People’s Concerts series. You will also hear music old and new by composers from our own backyard and all around the globe, including chamber music by Reinaldo Moya, a performance of Gabriela Montero's piano concerto by the composer herself and a world premiere by Carlos Simon with libretto by Marc Bamuthi Joseph. We can't wait to share this music with you!
