A family-focused, one-hour version of our annual Lunar New Year concert. This program features the vibrant melodies of Asia, rooted in tradition and storytelling and will explore how cultures all over the continent celebrate this festive holiday. Celebrate the Year of the Goat at Orchestra Hall with the whole family!

A Few Things to Know

  1. Free child tickets are available through our Hall Pass program. Learn more 
  2. This concert will feature a variety of music—some soft and some loud—because we know that different audience members like different levels of sound. Review our tip sheet (available one month before the concert) to read about quiet spaces, noise-canceling headphones and other options which are available for tailoring the concert experience to fit your family's preferences.
  3. We encourage you to arrive early for activities in the lobby. Activities include opportunities to try instruments (provided by FRIENDS of the Minnesota Orchestra), make art, dance. learn more about the program and meet Minnesota Orchestra musicians.
  4. Prepare for the concert experience with our playlist, lobby map, pre-visit story and other materials (available one month before the concert).
