At a Glance

When not performing as a concert pianist, Jon Kimura Parker gigs in a band he put together with drummer Stewart Copeland, formerly of The Police. Their group, Off the Score, includes friends on violin, bass and EVI (electronic valve instrument). With Beethoven as rebellious inspiration, and Stravinsky’s revolutionary ballet The Rite of Spring as their starting point, Parker and friends take improvisatory flight.
