A Few Things to Know

  1. Conductor Jonathon Heyward and composer Hannah Kendall have worked together many times, with Heyward advocating for Kendall’s orchestral music worldwide. “With Hannah’s music,” Heyward explained in a Seattle Times interview, “you really understand the journey and the narrative behind everything.”
  2. Pianist Alice Sara Ott is famous for her explorative approach to music, blending styles, performing in unconventional spaces and crafting visionary projects with artists in and outside of classical music.
  3. At 32 years old, Jonathon Heyward, who recently began his tenure as music director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, is currently the youngest music director of any major U.S. orchestra.

They’ll also reflect on decades of musical excellence and share what comes next. Landrum (he/him) is an award-winning composer, vocalist, and educator born in Philadelphia.
