The Grammy Award-winning Minnesota Orchestra, now in its second century, ranks among America’s top symphonic ensembles, with a distinguished history of acclaimed performances in its home state and around the world; award-winning recordings, broadcasts and educational engagement programs; and a commitment to intentionally build concert programs to feature more works by composers of color, exploring music both contemporary and historic. In September 2024, Danish conductor Thomas Søndergård began his second season as music director.
Nicholas Koo is a Korean-American conductor who has worked with multiple orchestras across the United States including the Minnesota Orchestra, Colorado Symphony Association and San Diego Symphony. He has made a number of appearances conducting the Colorado Symphony Orchestra in its regular season and is active in the Chicago area both on and off the podium; additionally he has worked with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association in artistic media and video production.
Fusing together elements of cirque acrobatics, classical dance and contemporary theater, Troupe Vertigo brings audiences on a spellbinding journey through the world of artistic movement. Consisting of world-class aerial artists, contortionists, and ballet dancers, the Los Angeles-based company was founded in 2009 by Artistic Director Aloysia Gavre, formerly of the internationally renowned Cirque du Soleil, and Technical Director Rex Camphuis, whose background is with the fabled Pickle Family Circus.
