Terms & Conditions
The following terms and conditions constitute a legal agreement between the Ticket Buyer/Holder and the Minnesota Orchestra/Orchestra Hall regarding the purchase and use of a season ticket package, membership tickets or individual tickets. These terms pertain to all tickets and ticket buyers/holders regardless of cost of purchase, how tickets were procured, or the event presenter.
General Terms
- Seat locations can vary by event and are subject to availability.
- All artists, programs, dates, times and prices are subject to change.
- Events may be added or restricted from packages, promotions and offers without notice.
- Special prices and offers are not valid on previously purchased tickets or series packages.
- Be prepared to show your ticket or order confirmation upon arrival at the Venue.
The Minnesota Orchestra and Orchestra Hall are committed to creating and maintaining a welcoming environment in which all are treated with dignity and respect, free from hostility, discrimination and harassment. By entering Orchestra Hall, you agree to abide by these guidelines.
- Guests will be treated in a respectful, professional and courteous manner by all venue personnel.
- Guests are entitled to enjoy their event experience free from disruptive, discriminatory or inconsiderate behaviors, or unruly actions.
- Each guest is responsible for their own actions. Your actions have an impact on others regardless of your intentions.
- Guests will assist in creating a safe and enjoyable environment by reporting inappropriate behavior to an Usher or Security Officer.
- Guests will not interfere with the event or performers in any way.
- Guests will show their event proof-of-entry when requested.
- For events with assigned seating, guests will sit only in their ticketed seats.
- In the interest of safety, guests will comply with requests from venue staff and security regarding facility operations and emergency response procedures.
- Guests who choose to consume alcoholic beverages will do so in a responsible manner and in compliance with the law. Guests will show a valid ID when requested to be served alcoholic beverages. Orchestra Hall staff will ensure that intervention with an intoxicated or impaired guest is handled promptly and safely.
- Guests whose behavior is deemed detrimental to the experience of performers or other guests will be removed from the venue.
Guests are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior to any Orchestra Hall employee. Venue staff may intervene where necessary to help ensure that code of conduct expectations are met. Any guest who violates the code of conduct may be subject to penalty including but not limited to removal from the venue without refund, loss of privileges for future events, and, to the extent their conduct constitutes a violation of law, may be subject to arrest and prosecution.
Our Pledge: We pledge to maintain the highest standards of safety and health at Orchestra Hall, for all of our guests, musicians, staff and volunteers.
In the interest of public safety, we will act to protect guests, employees and volunteers. Be assured that we are making every effort to ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests at Orchestra Hall.
- Security: All Minnesota Orchestra concerts are additionally supported by outside security personnel. Security will be present at all concerts and easily identifiable to guests. Audience Services team members receive ongoing safety, security and emergency preparedness training. Additionally, the Minnesota Orchestra adheres to any security requirements outlined by the City of Minneapolis as part of the event permitting process.
- Emergencies: If you have an emergency, or if you see inappropriate behavior or suspicious activity, please notify the nearest Orchestra Hall staff member immediately for assistance. In an emergency situation, please remain calm, listen to announcements and follow staff instructions.
- Entrance Requirements:
- We require proof of event attendance to enter Orchestra Hall during event times as the event space is reserved for invited guests. A ticket, invitation, order confirmation, registration list or other such item for each person will be necessary upon arrival at the exterior doors.
- Orchestra Hall is not open to the general public during ticketed or private events.

- Loitering: We reserve the right to decline admittance or remove from the premises any individual loitering or acting in a suspicious manner.
- Prohibited Items:
- Orchestra Hall bans guns on the premises.
- All public areas inside Orchestra Hall are smoke-free. Smoking (including electronic cigarettes) is not permitted anywhere in the lobby, the restrooms or on the outdoor terrace.
- Large Bag Policy: For safety and speed of entry, we discourage bringing large bags or items to events at Orchestra Hall. We reserve the right to decline admittance of any item that may obstruct or hinder aisle passages or exit doors and/or that is deemed suspicious. All backpack size or larger items are subject to search upon arrival, and you may be asked to store them for the duration of the event. Medical bags and parenting bags are permitted and are subject to search.
- Cameras and Recording Devices: The use of cameras and recording devices is prohibited during performances. Telephoto or zoom lenses, or other photography equipment will not be allowed inside the Auditorium.
Terms of Purchase
- Listed ticket prices always include a non-discountable per-ticket facility fee (up to $8 per ticket).
- Package purchases are subject to a one-time $8 processing fee. Individual ticket purchases are subject to a $5 per-order processing fee.
- A delivery fee (up to $7 for packages; $3 for individual ticket orders) will be charged for tickets distributed via postal mail or picked up at willcall. Tickets can be sent via email, and Minnesota Orchestra tickets are available digitally in the MinnOrch app or in your online account at no additional charge.
- Fees for rental events vary and will be detailed for each event.

- Tickets may be exchanged up to one hour prior to the performance start time.
- Tickets not purchased as part of a subscription package are subject to a $5 per-ticket exchange fee.
- Subscribers and Easy Pass holders pay no additional exchange fees with the exception of a $7 per-order fee applied to exchanges beginning seven days prior to the event.
- Changing dates, performances or seat locations may impact ticket prices.
- Tickets may not be exchanged between seasons. Unused ticket credit expires in August and can be used for events in the season in which it was accumulated. A tax-deductible charitable gift receipt will be provided for expired credit values greater than $5.
- Tickets purchased with a special offer and/or at a discounted rate may be exchanged; however, the discount offer does not carry over to new concert tickets.
- All Easy Pass ticket exchanges are subject to the original Easy Pass purchase guidelines.
- Tickets may be turned back up to concert start time for a tax-deductible contribution. Contribution amount does not include per-ticket facility fees.
- Special events cannot be exchanged into. Rental events, past concerts, complimentary tickets, and tickets purchased from sellers other than Minnesota Orchestra are restricted from exchanges.
If, for any reason, seats are removed from the Minnesota Orchestra available "to be sold" inventory, then the Minnesota Orchestra will offer the ticket buyer the option to relocate to an alternative seat location in a comparable or higher price section without additional cost. If the ticket buyer rejects the new seat location prior to the event start, then the Minnesota Orchestra will cancel the tickets and issue a refund to the original purchaser for the full value of unused tickets for the affected seat(s).
- Payment installments are available for most Package purchases. Payment installments are charged on the first business day of the month that the payment is due.
- The Minnesota Orchestra may automatically charge a credit or debit card account that has been provided for such payments, and need not provide the ticket buyer with prior notice of each automatic payment unless the payment date or payment amount changes, in which case notice will be provided at least 10 days before the payment is initiated and processed.
- The ticket buyer agrees that the Minnesota Orchestra will not be liable for overdraft fees if the bank account does not contain available funds sufficient to enable the Minnesota Orchestra to debit the account in the amount of the payment due.
- In the event of a defaulted payment, we will continue to attempt to charge the provided credit card and to contact the account holder for alternate payment. If payment is not provided, we reserve the right to withhold tickets for upcoming events until payment is made, and/or cancel any upcoming tickets without refund.
- Group orders of 10 or more tickets for Minnesota Orchestra concerts are also eligible for a payment plan when orders are placed more than 60 days prior to the event date. Contact Group Sales for details.
- Truth in Lending Act (TILA) Notice: The ticket buyer acknowledges and understands that no finance charge is being assessed for participating in the Payment Plan; no interest is assessed on the balance; and no pre-payment penalty shall apply if the balance is paid in advance of the designated payment dates.
- Minnesota Orchestra individual ticket purchases and rental event ticket purchases are final sales.
- We offer a money-back guarantee to Minnesota Orchestra subscribers. If you are not 100% satisfied after attending your first concert, please return your ticket package along with a written explanation of your dissatisfaction. We will contact you personally to discuss your concerns and arrange for a refund.
- Members may redeem their tickets beginning 90 days prior to the concert date in the lowest three price sections for Classical concerts. For a newly announced season, the earliest redemption date will be Priority Days in summer. Visit your online account or stop by the Box Office the day of show for available free seat upgrades.
- Limit one ticket per concert date per single membership; two tickets per concert date per dual membership. Purchase additional tickets with a discount at up to 15% off.
- Three-month minimum commitment required. Discounted memberships require a six-month commitment. Cancellation requests must be received by the 15th of the month to cancel the upcoming month.
- Membership payments are subject to all Payment Plan terms.
- To attend concerts with redeemed membership tickets, membership must be active. If membership is cancelled, future tickets will be cancelled or offered for purchase at the full adult price.
- All sales are final and may not be returned, exchanged or refunded.
- When purchased online, delivery fees and order fees apply. Save money by purchasing in person at Orchestra Hall during performances.
- Merchandise eligible for shipping will be charged a delivery fee ($3-$10) per item to a maximum of $25 per order.
TERMS OF TICKET ELIGIBILITY
- The Minnesota Orchestra strives to make its performances and venue accessible to all patrons. When ordering tickets, please let us know if you have special needs or require accessible seating. More information on accessibility.
- All concerts are open to children ages six and older when accompanied by an adult.
- Ratings for our Movies & Music concerts vary. Some material may not be suitable for children. Movie concerts are open to children ages six and older when accompanied by an adult unless otherwise indicated.
- We encourage children of all ages to join us for designated youth programs. All children, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the performance venue. Child ticket prices, if available, may vary by concert and price section.
- Students (ages 18+) must show a valid student ID at the Box Office to pick up student tickets.
- Guests purchasing tickets in our $20-under-40 program must show a valid ID or proof of age at the Box Office to pick up tickets.
- Hall Pass Child Classical subscription packages (ages 6-18) are available in all price sections for free with the purchase of an adult package.
- Individual Hall Pass child tickets (ages 6-18) are available for select Classical concerts and price sections for free with the purchase of an adult ticket. Maximum four Hall Pass tickets available for each paid ticket.

- Child policies for rental events may vary and will be detailed for each event.
- Young People's Concerts are private events for children to attend with educational groups including home schools and school districts.
- All groups must include at least one child and at least one accompanying adult chaperone. Adults not accompanied by children will not be allowed to enter Orchestra Hall for these concerts.
- There are no age restrictions for Young People's Concerts. All persons are required to have a ticket regardless of age.
TERMS OF TICKET LICENSE
- Minnesota Orchestra grants the ticket buyer/holder a limited license to use the seat(s) at the Venue as designated by the ticket(s). Minnesota Orchestra, in its sole discretion, may revoke this license at any time for any reason, with or without providing a refund. This license is granted on an event-by-event basis, and it is subject to all rules, regulations, and policies established by the Minnesota Orchestra. Breach of any terms of this agreement or relevant ticket policies shall entitle the Minnesota Orchestra to take appropriate legal action, including, without limitation, revocation or cancellation of ticket(s).
- Resale or attempted resale at a price or in a manner in violation of any federal, state, or local law or regulation is grounds for revocation without refund.
- Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotions (including contests or sweepstakes), commercial or other trade purposes without the express written consent of the Minnesota Orchestra.
- Minnesota Orchestra may monitor and track any ticket buyer's resale and trade activity and it reserves the right to suspend or cancel the account of any ticket buyer whom it reasonably believes has purchased a ticket package, or tickets at a discounted rate, for the primary purpose of reselling the ticket(s).
- The Minnesota Orchestra reserves the right to suspend or terminate, at its discretion, a ticket buyer/holder's account or benefits (including use of future tickets) for reasonable cause. Reasonable cause shall include, without limitation, failure to pay charges on the Account when due; providing any statement, information, or representation that is false, fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, or materially incomplete in relation to the procurement or use of the tickets; and any other breach of these Terms.
- The Minnesota Orchestra reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend, revise, update, or modify any policies, pricing, or procedures relative without notice to ticket buyers/holders of record.
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By agreeing to purchase the ticket(s), the ticket buyer acknowledges responsibility for payment, confirms that they have read and understand this agreement, and accepts and agrees to the Terms set forth above and any amendments made from time to time. The invalidity of any provision of this agreement shall not affect the validity of any other provision. This agreement constitutes the parties' complete agreement with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes any other agreement, representation or understanding of any kind or nature.
