Summer at Orchestra Hall 2025: Romantic Melodies All Around

Summer is on its way, and so is our annual collection of summer concerts and events, curated by pianist and Creative Partner Jon Kimura Parker. This season, we're promising Romantic melodies, piano fireworks and an introduction to the wizarding sport of Quidditch as part of our summer music festivities. (Tickets are available to everyone on April 8.)

We're diving into highly expressive, lyrical pieces from the Romantic era this Summer at Orchestra Hall. I'll perform standout piano concertos of the era by Schumann and Grieg that share wonderfully emotional and melodic qualities while also being utterly unique. We'll also share a film concert, family performance, chamber music and the wild fun of our Grand Piano Spectacular—all against the backdrop of Orchestra Hall in the summer. I can't wait to return to Minneapolis.”

You can also mark the date for a special Relaxed Family Concert exploring Rhythm in Motion that features the dancers of Los Alegres Bailadores (Saturday, July 26, 2 p.m.) or for piano—and fun! —afficionados, we highly recommend the Grand Piano Spectacular, with this year's keyboard extravaganza featuring Parker joined by pianist Chelsea de Souza, Artem Kuznetsov and Ayane Nakajima (Thursday, July 31, 7 p.m.).

Come early to enjoy pre-concert entertainment from a variety of local performers in the Target Atrium, as well as special dining and cocktail options–and the glorious ambiance of summer in the City.
