Fans can celebrate birthdays, graduations and holidays or motivate a young musician, all with a personally customized video message from Minnesota Orchestra musicians
Now available for purchase at Minnesotaorchestra.org/shoutout
Minnesota Orchestra musicians are standing by to celebrate, single-out and encourage your loved ones as part of a newly-rolled out program, ShoutOut, that shares personalized video messages directly from Orchestra musicians to fans. These uniquely recorded messages, which are customizable by the purchaser, are available from Orchestra musicians representing a rotating selection of instrument sections at minnesotaorchestra.org/shoutout for $50.
“The idea is to connect Orchestra musicians with community members, fans and students at milestone moments in their lives,” said Vice President of Marketing and Guest Relations David Sailer-Haugland. “During the pandemic we saw a lot of creative, wonderful connections being made virtually between musicians and supporters, and ShoutOut now offers a bigger platform for these interactions to take place in an ongoing way.”
Who is right for a ShoutOut? Musicians will create customized video messages for any person and occasion, which might include offering encouragement to a young musician who is working to learn a new instrument; congratulating a high school senior after an important recital or graduation; and paying tribute to a classical music lover on their birthday, among other ideas.
Those purchasing a ShoutOut will fill out a survey that allows them to share information about the recipient and to choose the instrument they’d like featured in their video. (Instrument sections, such as violin, cello or flute, may be selected, but not specific musicians.) Videos will be sent within 14 business days after the survey is submitted.
“Musicians are proud to participate in ShoutOut,” says Principal Cello Anthony Ross. “We’re honored and humbled to share in life’s big and little moments with audience members through this program.”
