About this Concert:

Music Director Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra perform in Amsterdam’s famed Concertgebouw, as part of the annual Robeco SummerNights festival. The program includes Steven Stucky’s Rhapsodies for Orchestra, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 and Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 1, played by Finnish soloist Pekka Kuusisto.

  • This concert will be broadcast live across Minnesota on Classical MPR, including KSJN 99.5 FM in the Twin Cities. A complete list of Classical MPR stations can be found at classicalmpr.org. Listeners will also be able to stream the broadcast via the Classical MPR website.
  • Robeco SummerNights is an annual summer festival that features more than 100 classical, jazz and world music performances, held in two auditoriums at the Concertgebouw.
