Young People's: Kodály’s Dances of Galánta

Recommended for grades 6-12
Hosted by Orchestra violist Sam Bergman, this concert is designed for secondary school students, offering students a chance to experience the power of great symphonic works played at the highest level.

This Young People’s concert for secondary school audiences offer students a chance to dig deeper into the context and history behind a specific symphonic work. The concert will showcase Kodály’s Dances of Galánta as the centerpiece of the program supplemented with other important works showing the history of Hungarian music in classical repertoire.
