More Details:

  • This is the concert for lovers. Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2 is the music of romance and, written in 1906, inspired legions of Hollywood composers over the next century.
  • This symphony is one of the most malleable pieces ever written: at full length it runs about 60 minutes, but various conductors whack it down to 35 minutes.
