Commuter Choice Awards
Exciting news! The Minnesota Orchestra has won the 2017 Organization of the Year Award from Metro Transit's 2017 Commuter Choice Awards for the Bike to Orchestra Hall program.
A number of bike-friendly roads surround Orchestra Hall which is situated near the entrance to the Loring Greenway and Cedar Lake Trails. View a guide to Hennepin County bike trails. Be sure to watch out for construction though, especially as a result of the Nicollet Mall Project.
Bike Parking Tips
Permanent bike racks are available at the Orchestra Hall Stage Door, along Marquette Ave. S. Additional racks will be added for Sommerfest at the Stage Door and on the corner of Marquette Ave. S. and 11th Street S. Helmets can be securely stored inside the ring corridor lockers. Ask an usher for assistance.A limited number of complimentary bus passes are available at the Box Office for those who bike to a Minnesota Orchestra concert and are uncomfortable biking home in the dark.
Not one, not two, but THREE of the popular Nice Ride rental bike stations lie within just one block of Orchestra Hall. Show your Nice Ride receipt at the Box Office if you don't have a bike helmet or gear with you to receive the discount.

First time biking downtown? Here are some tips to keep in mind:
- Ride with traffic on the road, not against it.
- Always obey traffic laws. Stop at all stop lights and stop signs.
- Signal when turning and ride in a predictable manner.
- Be visible. Wear reflective and/or bright colored clothing and use a head and tail light.
- Wear a helmet
