The Twin Cities Gay Men's Chorus (TCGMC) is a professionally led, volunteer-driven chorus committed to Building Community Through Music. With powerful performances and impactful collaborations, we amplify the voices and visibility of Minnesota's LGBTQ+ community. TCGMC, grounded in Community, Advocacy, and Artistry values, is a cornerstone of Minnesota's LGBTQ+ cultural landscape.
Since its debut in Heritage Hall in 1981, the Chorus has become a key player in the Twin Cities arts scene, performing with renowned groups like the Minnesota Orchestra, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and VocalEssence and with artists such as Harvey Fierstein, Ann Hampton Callaway, and Michael Feinstein. In 2009, TCGMC premiered the groundbreaking work I Want More Life at the Guthrie Theater.
With over 25 commissioned works and performances at major LGBTQ+ choral festivals across North America, TCGMC continues to lead in celebrating LGBTQ+ arts and culture.
