Performances of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone™ added to Minnesota Orchestra’s 2016-17 season; Three concerts will be held on December 9 and 10 at the Minneapolis Convention Center

The Minnesota Orchestra announced today that it will perform HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S STONE™ on Friday, December 9, 2016, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Minneapolis Convention Center Auditorium in downtown Minneapolis as part of The Harry Potter Film Concert Series. The concert will feature the live symphony orchestra performing, to picture, every note from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Audiences will be able to relive the magic of the film in high-definition on a 40-foot screen while hearing the Minnesota Orchestra perform John Williams’ unforgettable score.
Individual tickets go on sale to the general public July 29 at minnesotaorchestra.org and by phone at 612-371-5656, with tickets priced from $30 to $90. Returning and new subscribers get early access to all 2016-17 concerts and will be notified about ticket options for this specific event. CineConcerts and Warner Bros. Consumer Products announced The Harry Potter Film Concert Series, a new global concert tour celebrating the Harry Potter films, earlier this year. The tour features Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and will kick off this summer, travelling to destinations across North America and internationally.
