Stage and Screen Star Alan Cumming Brings New Touring Show to Orchestra Hall, Mar 26

Actor-singer Alan Cumming performs his own concert onstage in Minneapolis with pianist Lance Horne and cellist Eleanor Norton

In one performance on March 26 at Orchestra Hall, Tony Award-winning actor Alan Cumming performs his new concert, Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs—which premiered at Carnegie Hall in February. Joining him onstage are his long-time collaborator and Emmy-winning musical director Lance Horne on piano and New York cellist Eleanor Norton. Following the recent release of his album by the same name, this program features Cumming’s versions of songs from the theater and pop genres—spanning everything from the music of Annie Lennox to Miley Cyrus to Rufus Wainwright.

The concert will be held at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at 8 p.m., with tickets priced from $50 to $90. Tickets are available at minnesotaorchestra.org and by phone at 612-371-5656. For further purchasing details, refer to the information section at the conclusion of this press release. Please note: The Minnesota Orchestra does not perform on this program.
