“Aca-Performance of a Lifetime” contest will provide one a cappella ensemble the opportunity to perform onstage at Vocalosity concert on January 31, 2016
Two a cappella groups will be chosen to perform in the lobby of Orchestra Hall prior to the concert
Minnesota a cappella ensembles are invited to compete in Vocalosity’s “Aca-Performance of a Lifetime” Contest, for the opportunity to sing onstage as the opening act at Vocalosity: The Aca-Perfect Concert Experience on January 31, 2016, at Orchestra Hall. In addition, two runner-up ensembles will be chosen to sing in the lobby of Orchestra Hall that evening, as part of the Minnesota Orchestra’s OH+ concert enhancement program.
Vocalosity is an all-new concert event from the creative mind of artistic producer Deke Sharon (The Sing-Off and Pitch Perfect), featuring twelve dynamic vocalists in unique a cappella arrangements of chart-topping hits.
The concert is held at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis on Sunday, January 31, at 7 p.m., with tickets priced from $25 to $60. Tickets are available at minnesotaorchestra.org and by phone at 612-371-5656. Please note that the Minnesota Orchestra does not perform as part of this program.
