The Minnesota Orchestra, under the direction of Assistant Conductor Courtney Lewis, presents its annual free music series Symphony for the Cities, which brings great music to communities around the Twin Cities metro area—and beyond. The concerts feature orchestral favorites including Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, along with all-American gems by John Philip Sousa and Steve Heitzeg.

From downtown Minneapolis, go East on I-94 to Wisconsin. After
crossing the bridge into Wisconsin, take exit 1, which is 35
North. Turn Left onto Vine Street, the 3rd stoplight, which is
going downhill toward the river.

From downtown Minneapolis, go West on I-394 and then North on
I-494. Take the Highway 55 exit and go West on Highway 55 about
1 mile. Turn Right on Plymouth Blvd. The concert site will be on
your right near Plymouth City Center.

From downtown Minneapolis, take I-394 West to I-494 and then
follow I-494 South to Highway 7. Go West on Highway 7 and take
Excelsior exit. The concert site is on the edge of Lake
Minnetonka, at the corner of Lake and West Lake Street. Lake
Street will be closed to traffic for the entire day and evening.
