Eileen Ivers
, today’s pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle, is hailed as one of the great innovators and pioneers in the Celtic

Chieftains, Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg, Regina Carter and Cherish the
Ladies, of which she was a founding member; and through her more
than 80 recordings, which include contemporary and traditional albums
as well as numerous film scores. Among her many honors are a Grammy
Award and nine All-Ireland Fiddle Championships. The daughter of Irish
immigrants, Ivers grew up in the Bronx, where she immersed herself in
music of many genres. Her most recent project is
Beyond the Bog Road

multimedia concert and newly released CD which celebrate the journey
of the Irish immigrant and showcase the ways Irish music and dance
have integrated with roots music of North America.
Joining Ivers for tonight’s concert are five members of her band

soulful element to the ensemble, is a founding member of the all-female
traditional Irish band Girsa and also plays fiddle, banjo and mandolin.
Buddy Connolly

toured and recorded with prominent artists including Tim O’Brien, Kathy
Mattea and Rodney Crowell. Multi-instrumentalist
Greg Anderson

mainstay in the folk and traditional worlds, has also worked with many
artists in rock, jazz and contemporary music, from Pete Seeger to Itzhak
Perlman. Bassist and Juilliard alumnus
Lindsey Horner

his versatility in jazz and modern music through many cutting-edge
recordings and performances. He has produced five recordings, most

music. Percussionist, guitarist and singer-songwriter
