Sarah Hicks
, conductor
Sarah Hicks, the Minnesota Orchestra’s principal
conductor of Live at Orchestra Hall, has led
a broad range of programs since joining the
Orchestra as assistant conductor in 2006. In
addition to conducting the Inside the Classics
series, she takes the podium later this season for
a staging of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s
Carousel
,
a concert with trumpeter Chris Botti, programs
showcasing Italian music and more.
Recent, upcoming:
During the 2014-15 season
she makes return visits to the San Francisco
Symphony, Detroit Symphony and Alabama
Symphony and debuts with the Santa Fe
Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic, Edmonton
Symphony, New Jersey Symphony, Nagoya
Philharmonic and Kansai Philharmonic. In
2011 she toured with British rock icon Sting,
leading 31 concerts over two months in venues
throughout Europe.

Harvard University.
