Stephen Hough approaches the piano literature with both intellectual rigor and virtuosic technique. He regularly appears with major American and European orchestras and plays recitals in leading venues around the world. He is in the process of recording Tchaikovsky’s three piano concertos and Concert Fantasia live in concert with Osmo Vänskä and the Minnesota Orchestra for release on the Hyperion label. He is active as a composer and is a recipient of the prestigious MacArthur Fellowship, known as the “genius grant.” More: stephenhough.com.
