What quality do you most admire in others?
Honesty.

What is your ideal classical concert program?
Debussy's L'Après-midi d'un faune, Schubert's Fifth Symphony, Beethoven's Sixth Symphony.

How did you choose your instrument?
I'm sure this sounds cliché, but my instrument chose me. No one in my family was a musician. (Eric Kunzel is not my father!) I was in 4th grade and saw a program at my grade school. I don't remember the sound of the flute, but the way it looked had a deep and immediate impression on me. I asked my parents that night at dinner if I could take flute lessons.
