Accessibility

The Minnesota Orchestra strives to make its performances and venue accessible to all patrons. We welcome you! Following is a description of our services and amenities for patrons with special needs.   • Parking and Drop Off Locations
    Wheelchair accessible The Orchestra Hall Box Office Driveway on 11th Street is available as a convenient drop-off and pick-up location. Parking spaces for patrons with disabilities are available in the Hilton Municipal and 11th and Marquette Municipal Parking Ramps, which are both connected to Orchestra Hall via convenient skyway access.
  • Courtesy Wheelchairs
    Wheelchairs are available, free of charge, at Guest Services for transportation to and from seats on a first-come, first served basis. Wheelchair lifts are available in the lobby near the 11th Street and Peavey lobby entrances.
  • Wheelchair Accessible Seating
    Wheelchair accessible seating is available in all price levels (subject to availability) with companion seating as well. Available areas at Orchestra Hall are generally located in Row B of each level of Tier side boxes, as well as the outside aisles of the Main Floor in rows 1-2. View specific locations on a map.
  • Purchasing Accessible Seating Online
    When selecting seats online, accessible locations are marked with this symbol Wheelchair accessible. Hold the cursor over the seat location to verify the location is Accessible. The Shopping Cart screen will confirm your selected seat location; look at the “Seat Information” column which will designate either Wheelchair Accessible or Wheelchair Companion. By purchasing these seats, you are acknowledging that you, or another member of your party, have mobility accessibility needs. We will automatically remove a seat to accommodate one non-transferrable wheelchair. If you have questions about Accessible seating or would like details about venues other than Orchestra Hall, please contact Ticket Services for assistance. We are pleased to assist you.
  • Assistive Listening Devices and Large Print Programs
    Large print program information (for most performances) and hearing enhancement devices are available free of charge at the Guest Services desk on the Peavey Plaza side of the lobby.
  • ASL Interpretation
    American Sign Language Interpretation, by certified interpreters, is available for select performances that feature speakers and narrators. To check on availability, please contact our Ticket Services Department at 612.371.5656 or 1.800.292.4141. Please allow two weeks advance notice if you would like to suggest an ASL interpreter at a specific performance.
  • Service Animals
    Service animals, such as guide dogs, are welcome at Orchestra Hall. Please inform Ticket Services if you will be attending with a service animal so that best accommodations can be made for you and your companion.

Allergies/Chemical Sensitivities

Please be considerate of those who may have allergies or chemical sensitivities. It is recommended that you refrain from using strong perfumes and colognes so as not to distract the patrons sitting around you.

Coat Check and Baggage

There is no coat check at Orchestra Hall. However, lockers are located in the corridors just outside the auditorium doors on all levels. Lockers cost 25 cents.

To increase security for all patrons, large backpacks and bags are not allowed in the auditorium. These items must be checked at Guest Services in the main lobby.

Cameras & Recording Devices

Due to contract restrictions with the Orchestra musicians and guest artists, cameras and recording devices are strictly prohibited. Patrons are welcome to take photos in the lobby.

Electronic and Mobile Devices

To eliminate visual and audio distractions during the performance, please turn off all electronic and mobile devices.

Emergency Information

A house physician is typically in attendance. A security officer trained in CPR and first aid is on duty beginning one hour before concerts until all patrons have left the hall. First aid supplies are available. Ask an usher for assistance.

If you are expecting an urgent call or want to leave a contact number for a babysitter, have them call the Stage Door at 612.371.5626. When you arrive at the hall, leave your seat information at Guest Services so you can be found quickly.

Guest Services

If questions arise at any time during your visit to Orchestra Hall, please ask one of our ushers or visit the Guest Services desk located on the Peavey Plaza side of the Main Floor Lobby.

Lost and Found

For items lost at Orchestra Hall, contact the Stage Door, located on the Marquette Avenue side of Orchestra Hall, at 612.371.5626.

For items lost at MacPhail Center for Music, call 612-321-0100.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Restrooms

Main floor restrooms are located on both the audience right and left sides of the Hall. The restrooms in Tiers 1, 2 and 3 are located on the audience right side of the Hall only. All restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Smoking and Firearms Policies

All public areas at Orchestra Hall are smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the lobby or in the restrooms. Orchestra Hall bans guns on its premises.

Telephones

Complimentary phone service is available in each restroom lobby. A pay phone is available in the Peavey Plaza corner of the lobby.
