"New composers score with fresh work."
-The Pioneer Press, October 29, 2010
How will we define classical music in 100 years? Join us when emerging composers from across the country travel to Minneapolis to help answer that question. Osmo Vänskä leads the Minnesota Orchestra in a concert showcasing works by some of the best and brightest up–and–coming composers, with onstage interviews providing a fascinating glimpse of tomorrow's classical music.
This concert is the culminating event of the Composer Institute, an award-winning national training program for emerging composers. Learn more.
Musician Top Picks
Sam Bergman: "You never know what you’re going to get with Future Classics, but that uncertainty is actually the main attraction of this concert! Every year, our audience is held spellbound by these young composers, and every year, I learn something new about what music can be, and where it might be going next."
Concert Activities
