| VERDI | Rigoletto |
Verdi called Rigoletto "perhaps the greatest drama of modern times," and recognized the title character as a "creation worthy of Shakespeare." Sommerfest Artistic Director Andrew Litton leads a stellar cast—including Stephen Powell in the title role, Maureen O'Flynn as Gilda and Gwyn Hughes Jones as the Duke—along with the acclaimed Minnesota Orchestra in this concert event about a hunchbacked court jester, his innocent daughter and the sinister curse that is their ruin. Be sure to order your tickets early, as this opera finale is sure to sell out.
Please note: This concert will include supertitles.
Ticket holders enjoy FREE live music and a delicious bite to eat on the beautiful outdoor terrace, adjacent to Ted Mann Concert Hall before each Sommerfest concert.
