Meet the Conductors

	Sarah Hicks Sarah became the Minnesota Orchestra's assistant conductor in fall 2006, and is the first woman to hold a titled conductor post in the Orchestra's history. Born in Tokyo and raised in Honolulu, she earned degrees in composition from Harvard University and in conducting from the Curtis Institute.
	Mischa Santora Mischa was appointed the Minnesota Orchestra's associate conductor in 2004. Born to Hungarian parents, he moved with his family to Switzerland, where he began violin studies under his father, a member of the Lucerne Symphony. He went on to earn degrees from the Hochschule der Künste in Berlin and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
