Helen Ward's book—the story about a beautiful forest springing from an ugly junkyard—is whimsically set to music by Steve Heitzeg and narrated by Arctic explorer Ann Bancroft. This concert includes a new piece by Dan Visconti for student percussion players and orchestra, plus the exciting debut of 15-year old pianist Magdalena Müllerperth.
