There are several affordable ways for educators and students of all ages to experience the sights and sounds of the Minnesota Orchestra in its home at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.
Discounted Tickets
Student Rush Line ($15 - high school and college students)
Student rush tickets are available for most concerts for $15 with a valid high school or college ID. Tickets can be purchased in person starting one hour prior to most performances. Public Rush tickets are also on sale at the Box Office for many concerts for as little as $25. Call 612.371.5656 or 800.292.4141 for more information.
Student eSaver Tickets ($12 - high school and college students)
Students (high school and college) can purchase Student eSaver tickets to select Minnesota Orchestra concerts for just $12 per ticket. Tickets can be ordered online in advance of the concert up to 4 hours prior to concert start time.
Student Group Rate ($12 - grade six through college)
Student groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for only $12 to select Minnesota Orchestra concerts. Student groups do not need to wait until the day of concert for availability and seating assignments. A group sales representative will work with you to seat order in advance and can also assist with tours and musician meet-and-greet opportunities.
Target Free Family Concerts (families with elementary age children)
The Minnesota Orchestra's popular family concerts are FREE, thanks to generous support from Target. Families with children of all ages are encouraged to join us for these one-hour performances at Orchestra Hall. Reserved tickets are distributed via random drawing.
Discounted Ticket Packages
Trio Packages for Families, Educators and Students of all ages
Students, educators and adult family members can mix and match three or more concerts from a list of eligible performances to create their own value-priced package. (Offered seasonally and on select concerts only.)
Create Your Own Family Package
Choose from a variety of family programs tailored to young listeners of all ages. Tickets are just $29 for adults and $12 for kids when you purchase a package of 3 or more concerts. (Offered seasonally and on select concerts only.)
College Student Subscriptions (Series Packages starting at $34)
College students of all ages can take advantage of our student subscription price ($12 per concert when purchased as a series package). Special college series pricing is available for any Classical, Inside the Classics, or Jazz at Orchestra Hall series. College student series packages can be ordered online (select "college student price" from dropdown menu of online series ordering page). A valid college student ID is required to acquire your tickets at box office.
Young Listener Series Offerings (ages 6-17)
With the purchase of any adult Classical, Pops, Inside the Classics, Chamber, Jazz or Create Your Own subscription, you can add a Young Listener package for only $12 per concert. Simply select the Young Listener's price from the drop down menu of the online series ordering page.
School Programs
Young People's Concerts ($6 – elementary schools and families)
Young People’s Concerts are for education groups, homeschools and families. Each weekday concert focuses on a specific musical element, composer, time period or theme and is individually tailored for primary grades to middle school level. Tickets are only $6 per seat.
University of Minnesota Offers (college students, staff & faculty)
The Minnesota Orchestra is pleased to offer special ticket discounts and concert packages for U of M students, faculty and staff, which are made possible in part by the George T. and Elizabeth H. Pennock Endowment.
WAMSO Kinder Konzerts ($5 – pre-school)
Kinder Konzerts are designed to introduce preschool children to Minnesota Orchestra musicians and their music and to Orchestra Hall. Staffed by volunteers, the Kinder Konzerts program presents 48 concerts at Orchestra Hall each year.
