The Minnesota Orchestra is expanding its presence in Greater Minnesota with a broad multi-year initiative designed to create one-of-a-kind collaborations between the Orchestra and communities around the state. Common Chords establishes partnerships between the Orchestra and participating cities that will culminate in a celebratory festival week featuring performances and activities that reflect the interests, diversity and heritage of each community. Launched with generous support from the Mellon Foundation, Common Chords debuted in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, in October 2011.
