Northern Spark Festival

PUTS
Symphony No. 4: From Mission San Juan

Following their 7pm concert, the Orchestra along with The Eyeo Festival are partnering to reprise a multimedia experience featuring Kevin Puts’ Fourth Symphony. At this 30-minute concert, sensing devices and sonic inputs gather live data that triggers a visual display being projected on the stage backdrop.

Before and after the concert, guests are invited to play musical instruments that generate visual effects similar to those projected live during the performance. Other interactive and collaborative art experiences including CELLULAR, a collaborative projection with phones, are offered in the lobby and projected outside the building from 9:01pm to 5:26am.

FREE music performances at Orchestra Hall during Northern Spark:
9:30pm to 12am: Steve Millar and Diamondhead (Target Atrium)
12:30am to 2:30am: Lowland Lakers (Target Atrium)
2am-3am: Dosh (Orchestra Hall Auditorium)

These projects are sponsored by The Eyeo Festival as part of Northern Spark—Minneapolis' annual art festival that runs from dusk on June 14 to dawn on June 15, and is produced by Northern Lights.mn. For more information on Northern Spark, visit northernspark.org.

Please note: photos are examples of the technology that will be used inside Orchestra Hall during the 7pm and 10pm performances; with a limited display on the exterior of the building.
