Andrew Litton and Stephen Hough

RACHMANINOFF
The Rock
Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini

PROKOFIEV
Symphony No. 4 (1947)

Conductor Andrew Litton and pianist Stephen Hough make music together with serendipitous results: their bond, many years in the making, is impossible to see but wonderfully evident to hear. After Litton starts the concert with The Rock, a lovely early Rachmaninoff rarity, Hough joins him to perform the virtuosic Paganini Rhapsody.
