With his Minnesota Orchestra percussion section colleagues, Mount was featured in 2008 performances of Carmen Suite, an orchestration by Shchedrin of themes from Bizet’s Carmen. He also participates frequently in the Orchestra’s Kinder Konzert series.
Mount graduated from Indiana University, studied further at the Tanglewood Music Festival and earned a master’s degree from Temple University in Philadelphia.
He lives in Plymouth with his wife Jill, a former music librarian with the Orchestra, and their two children, Dean and Leili.
