Single tickets now on sale for fall 2010 Minnesota Orchestra concerts

Music Director Osmo Vänskä leads five classical programs

(July 9, 2010) -- The Minnesota Orchestra today announced the availability of single tickets for fall 2010 concerts at Orchestra Hall. Tickets, priced as low as $20 to $26 per concert, are on sale beginning July 9, 2010, for seven classical programs, including five led by Music Director Osmo Vänskä; and for five pops shows with Sarah Hicks, Idina Menzel, Ann Hampton Callaway, Jim Brickman and Engelbert Humperdinck, the latter performing a solo concert without the Orchestra. Tickets, previously on sale for subscribers only, are now available by phone at (612) 371-5656 or online at minnesotaorchestra.org. Tickets for select concerts are offered with a 25% discount through Monday, July 12.

• Sept. 30-Oct. 2: VÄNSKÄ CONDUCTS BRAHMS’ SECOND – $22-$84
[Note: Cellist Truls Mørk, who was originally scheduled to appear as soloist in this program, is unable to perform due to a health issue from which he is recovering well. However, he has been advised not to undertake long distance travel for the next few months. Performing in his place is Minnesota Orchestra cellist Arek Tesarczyk, former principal cellist of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.]
