Bruce Hudson

Bruce Hudson joined the Minnesota Orchestra as fourth horn in September 2011 after serving for 11 seasons as fourth horn of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He has performed and toured with the Cleveland Orchestra, and he has been a member of several regional orchestras including the Toledo Symphony, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Akron Symphony and Erie Philharmonic.

A native of northeastern Ohio, Hudson earned both bachelor and master’s degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music and Case Western Reserve University, undertaking horn studies with Eric Ruske, Richard Solis and Eli Epstein and studying a secondary performance area, organ, with Adeline Huss. He was awarded the Institute’s annual Valedictory Prize and was inducted into the honorary music fraternity Mu Phi Epsilon.

Hudson has been adjunct horn faculty at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Case Western Reserve University and La Sierra University in Riverside, California.
