About
YPSCA School Music Auditions
YPSCA (Young People's Symphony Concert Association) is the Minnesota Orchestra's oldest volunteer organization. Founded in 1911 to produce the Orchestra's first Young People's Concerts, YPSCA continues to support the Orchestra's Education Department in several key ways.
YPSCA provides volunteer ushers during the 6 weeks of Minnesota Orchestra Young People's Concerts, they provide funding to fully subsidize students from several Metro area school districts to attend Young People's Concerts, and they produce the annual School Music Auditions, a competition for instrumental students through high school age.
